Let’s work together!

A guide to working together

Being independent allows me to adapt and directly discuss with you the way we can work together.

Here you will find here the most important information and most common ways of handling your translations.
If you have other requests or suggestions, I’ll be happy to examine them with you.

Document type

All translations, unless previously agreed, are sent back under the same format as the source document.

I usually work with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF or html, or .xml, .txt, .xliff, .strings and .po for digital content.

Invoicing

All invoices are issued once the translation has been validated from your side.

The payment term applied is 30 days after invoice date

Payment

Preferred payment methods are bank transfers and Payoneer.

If you want to track the work and secure your payments, you can choose Upwork Escrow or the Toptracker systems which allow you to both follow the work in progress and the actual hours worked on the translation.
It then offers you a secure payment procedure, transferring the money once you approve it in the system.

Confidentiality agreement

Although I never share any content without prior authorization, your company policy might require a written agreement.

We can establish a non-disclosure agreement before starting if needed.

Pricing

Prices depend on the complexity of your requests.

They can be agreed:
- per word (based on the number of words of the source),
- per document,
- on an hourly basis (convenient for long-term projects with a variety of tasks),
- for an overall project

To offer you a formal quotation, you need to provide the following:

  • The exact service(s) you need – translating, proofreading, editing, etc.
  • Source and target languages
  • A description of the work and expectations, with specifications for particular needs (cultural adaptation, linguistic testing of your digital service, extraction of text from a URL, keyword integration, etc.)
  • The source and target format you are expecting
  • The document(s)
